Steering Team
A team of 6 people were chosen, which included the Senior Pastor Keith Speaks, School Principal Kim Epting, Congregational Liaison Jeanine Kelly, Congregational Leadership Representative Chris Darzins, Brenda Rogers-Connolly and Hannah Ludwig-Martinez, that were tasked with determining:
- the values of the congregation
- the individual(s) the congregation must reach for the sake of the future
- the mission of the congregation
- the five-year vision of the congregation
- high-level model implications for this new/renewed direction
The above items are not arrived in isolation, but through prayer, team processing, member surveying, community testing, and receiving feedback from the congregation and school. The Steering Team makes final recommendations for approval by Church Council.
Clarify Our Calling Workshop
With over 100 people from our congregation and school in attendance at our Clarify Our Calling Workshop in April, the day's main goal was to create ownership and support for the process Trinity is going through so that when the final outcomes are arrived at more unity exists. This day poured into the leaders of Trinity, helping them grow in their walk with Jesus, while also
pulling out of them where God's Spirit is leading our church and school.
The day consisted of 3 blocks.
- Getting everyone up to speed on the process Trinity is going through. This helps everyone be better leaders because they have the information their teams need.
- Giving each of the leaders clarity on their unique calling and passion. This helps each person better understand where they should be focusing their energy in life and ministry.
- Getting insight from the leaders around what they love about Trinity and its future direction. This helps Trinity better hear what God is say through our leaders.
